Availability

Starting from Lokalsinne version 3.9.0 the map is streamed from Deep Cold Software. If you do not receive any map tiles it might be because the server is down. Information about any ongoing or planned service interruptions will be shown here. Right now, there are no known service interruptions. Send an email if you have problems accessing the map.

In older versions of Lokalsinne the map is streamed directly from Lantmäteriet.

There is an ongoing issue with streaming from Lantmäteriet to devices with Android 13 or older. Update to Lokalsinne 3.9.0 to avoid the issue.

Lantmäteriet will discontinue the streaming service on 31 December 2026. At that point, the map of Sweden will stop working on all devices with Lokalsinne version 3.8 and older.

Content

The map is updated a few times per year. You get the latest available version of the map when it is downloaded. Manually downloaded map tiles are not updated automatically. To get a new version of a manually downloaded map tile you need to delete it and download it again.

If the map is incorrect or out of date, first make sure you are looking at the latest version. You can report errors in the map to Lantmäteriet here:

Zoom and resolution

The resolution of the map is 125 pixels per kilometer on the most detailed level. On a normal smartphone this is similar to a paper map with a scale of 1:50 000. The exact scale depends on the physical dimensions and pixel density of your screen and how much you zoom.
